The Battle for Zapata Apartments

Ninety-two years after Mexican revolutionary Emiliano Zapata’s assassination in 1919, the Zapata name was being dragged into another struggle over land use. This time it was in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago.

My story on the legal battle between the NIMBY group Armitage Neighbors Together and the developers of the affordable housing development Zapata Apartments, which I wrote last spring, can be found here.
